Planning Tips

Planning ahead gets you everywhere, but you’ll still have a great time at the casual events winging it.

If you’re keen to do more curated, hands-on events, some of these close 4-5 days before the Festival or have capped numbers, so now is a great time to book experiences like:

The Winemakers’ Showcase, The Perfect Match, DJ and Dumplings, Winemaker for a day, Winery Immersion, Tintilla’s Vertical Tastings & hiring an E-bike. Booking tickets at free events also helps our caterers and chefs ensure enough food is available across the weekend.

  What should I wear?

There are certainly some events you can glam up for, like the Winemakers’ Showcase, The Perfect Match and Pink Prosecco Garden Party. If you’re planning to Explore on foot or on an E-Bike though, we recommend comfy footwear. Be careful of long flowy skirts on the E-Bike as you won’t want them getting stuck in the chain. Flat enclosed footwear will be necessary for things like segway tours and D’Vine Adventures. Share your #Festivaloutfits with us on Instagram #d’vinefestival

   How do I get around?

We have Free shuttle bus transport for ticket holders all day Saturday. It’s even available for the Friday Night Winemakers’ Showcase; you need to have your ticket for the event and your Festival ticket and be staying on the bus route. Check the map or call us if you need a hand 0499908397

To arrange your pickup email tickets@d-vine.com.au and let us know your name and the email you booked your tickets with.

Accommodation - Where should I stay?

Staying on the trail is the best way to get to all the festival events. Some of our fabulous accommodation providers have even offered Stay 3 Pay 2 so that you can make the most of every festival event. Find the full list here. If you need help finding accommodation for your group on the trail, get in touch – we’re here to help.

   Can I buy Wine?

Of course you can buy wine to take home! The bus will even have a concierge service available for larger purchases. You can’t however have opened alcohol on the busses.

   What About the Weather?

Of course we’re planning for sunshine, so don’t forget your sunnies, a hat for casual outdoor events and slap on some sunscreen! Water will be available everywhere there’s wine, but you’re also welcome to bring a water bottle.  Bring an umbrella just in case. Events are going ahead rain, hail or shine.

 Do I need a chair

You don’t need to BYO chairs. Eskys and open alcohol won’t be allowed on the shuttle bus. Apart from water and special dietary requirements, all food and drink consumed should be from the premises that you’re at.

Do I need a Festival Ticket?

Without a festival ticket you won’t have access to all the bus, events, tasting vouchers, special offers, or the shopping concierge service. Individual events may also require a pre-booked ticket. Festival tickets also help us cover the cost of entertainment around the Festival, so jump onboard and purchase yours now, they’re only $35.

Staying with an Around Hermitage Accomodation provider gives you plenty of perks!
